Security forces in Baidoa, the capital of the Bay region, have captured a man accused of throwing a hand grenade at a mosque in a neighborhood of Baidoa town on Saturday night.
According to a police officer who spoke to local media, residents played a crucial role in facilitating the man’s arrest during a security operation. Currently, he is being held at the Baidoa police station.
“The swift action of the security forces led to the apprehension of the suspect immediately after the incident. I urge the public to continue cooperating with security agencies to safeguard the area’s security,” the officer emphasized.
Recent army operations aimed at bolstering security have resulted in notable improvements in the safety of Baidoa in recent times.
