Ambassador Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held significant discussions in Mogadishu this Wednesday. He met with Ms. Catriona Laing, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, to address political and security concerns. Their talks emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between Somalia’s Federal Government and the United Nations to tackle the nation’s challenges effectively.
Additionally, Minister Fiqi welcomed Mr. Chen Wendi, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, during a courtesy visit. Their meeting aimed at bolstering the strong bilateral ties between Somalia and China, exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation, and mutual benefits.
