Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in Asmara, Eritrea. He arrived on Monday. The visit is for a working purpose.
Upon arrival at Asmara International Airport, President Mohamud and his delegation were received. They received a warm welcome. The welcome was from President Isaias Afwerki.
The Somali government made a statement. They stated that the two presidents will discuss the enhancement of bilateral ties. They will also discuss multilateral issues. These issues are of mutual importance.
This discussion will take place at their summit. The summit is scheduled for later this evening.
The working visit highlights the importance of Eritrea-Somalia relations. Both nations aim to strengthen cooperation.
