Strengthening Ties: Qatar Hosts Somalia for Bilateral Cooperation Talks

Minister of State for International Cooperation H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater welcomed State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia H E Ali Mohamed Omar during his visit to Qatar.

The discussions centered on bilateral cooperation and the enhancement of development projects in Somalia. They also reviewed the Somali Diaspora Conference outcomes, emphasizing the importance of engaging Somalis abroad for the country’s progress and revival.

H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater also held a videoconference with the Director-General of European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations. They explored ways to bolster relations between Qatar and the European Union and discussed the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian crisis. The conversation included development and humanitarian efforts in Gaza, Sudan, and Afghanistan, and covered various regional and international issues of shared concern. H E Dr. Cristian Tudor, the European Union Ambassador to Qatar, was also in attendance.
