African Union Representative Meets with Djibouti Military Officials in Mogadishu

On Sunday, Ambassador Souef Mohamed El-amine, who represents the African Union Commission and leads the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), met with senior Djibouti military officers led by Colonel Abourahman Abdi Dembil at the Mission Headquarters in Mogadishu.

They talked about the security situation in Somalia and discussed the third phase of reducing AMISOM troops.

Brigadier General Kindu Gezu, who is the AMISOM Military Chief of Staff, Somalia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, Ali Mohamed Omar, and Abdihakim Yusuf, the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, also attended the meeting.
