The Banadir regional authority has suspended Ali Fahle, the commissioner of Hodan district, along with several members of his administration, for 45 days, citing alleged negligence.
This action followed an evaluation led by Mohamed Ahmed Diriye (Yabooh), the Deputy Commissioner for Security and Politics in the Banadir Region, who assessed the performance of the district administrations in Hodan, Wabari, Howlwadag, and Hamar-Jajab districts in Mogadishu.
Yabooh highlighted inefficiency and poor performance as the main reasons for the suspension. The commissioner will also undergo administrative training as a part of his reprimand for not adequately fulfilling his responsibilities.
In addition to the suspension, Yabooh issued a serious warning to the district administrations of Wabari and Hamar-Jajab, announcing that their activities will be closely observed for 45 days. If their performance is found to be unsatisfactory, employees could face dismissal.
Although the Banadir regional administration has not officially disclosed the full reasons behind the suspensions, sources indicate that the region’s Inspection Committee has been carrying out audits across Mogadishu to assess the performance of various district administrations.
