A violent clash between two tribal militias in the Galgaduud region on Saturday led to at least five deaths and many injuries.
The conflict occurred in Eel Barafange, near Dhusamareeb, the capital of the Galmudug administration, according to local media. Some of the injured were taken to hospitals in Guriceel and Dhusamareeb for treatment.
This incident is part of a recurring pattern of clan wars in the Galgaduud and Mudug regions, which often result in significant loss of life and property.
The Galmudug administration has not yet issued a statement regarding the conflict in Eel Barafange.
