On Tuesday, Abdikhadir Firdhiye, the leader of SSC Khatumo, and some of his ministers met with the acting Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Chen Wendi, and other Chinese diplomats in Mogadishu. Discussions focused on how China could assist with development and provide aid in the SSC Khatumo areas.
During the meeting, Firdhiye mentioned that China was the first to donate to the people of SSC Khatumo during the tough times caused by the long conflict in Las Anod town. Additionally, the acting Chinese Ambassador promised that China would continue to support the Somali people, especially those in the SSC Khatumo areas.
Furthermore, this meeting was one of many discussions Firdhiye had with the federal government and international community members during his trip to Somalia’s capital.
