Somali Government Sends Troops to Stop Deadly Clan Fighting

The Somali government sent many armed soldiers to the Middle Shabelle region to stop violent fights between clans.

Police Commander Sulub Ahmed Firin said the troops will help stop the fighting in villages around Biyo Adde.

He told the police to keep the area safe to prevent more deaths.

Last week, over 30 people, including women and children, died in clashes between clan militias in Bur Shiiq and Biyo Cadde in southern Middle Shabelle.
